Pet Wants, a leader in the fresh pet food industry, recently announced the appointment of Jessica Riedy as its new vice president of operations. Riedy’s extensive experience in team management, process implementation and franchise operations, combined with her personal commitment to pet well-being, positions her to significantly contribute to Pet Wants’ mission of delivering fresh, high-quality pet food across the nation.

“The moment I learned about this opportunity, I could tell it was my dream role,” Riedy said. “I knew combining my love for operations with my passion for pets and their well-being was going to be incredibly fulfilling.”

Before joining Pet Wants, Riedy honed her skills in operations management across various industries, managing teams both locally and remotely, and spearheading operations for a franchisee with multiple locations.

Riedy also is a dedicated pet owner with two dogs named Wyatt and Lucy, and a mother to a 17-year-old son — passions that will inform her professional role, ensuring a deep understanding of the needs of pets and their families.

Riedy said she is committed to streamlining operations, improving processes for franchise owners and ensuring the Pet Wants team is a cohesive unit.

“My aim is to ensure that our franchisees feel heard, understood and supported,” Riedy said. “I’ve spent the past few months getting to know our franchisees, learning about the challenges they face and working with the operations team to streamline all their processes and procedures. That might mean vendor partnerships, retail build-outs, marketing strategies or pricing. It could be anything, but it’s really about making sure franchisees know we are here for them first and foremost.”

Looking ahead, Riedy’s primary goal is to enhance the connection between franchisees and the corporate team, fostering a supportive environment that prioritizes the success and satisfaction of both pets and their owners.

“Pet Wants is thrilled about the addition of Jessica to our team,” said DeNita Carani, Pet Wants brand president. “As we continue to grow this brand, Jessica’s unwavering dedication to operational excellence and her commitment to supporting our franchisees are key to propelling Pet Wants to new levels of success.”
